ABOUT Het Apeldoornsche Bosch
On the night of 21 to 22 January 1943, the occupier brutally clears Het Apeldoornsche Bosch. More than 1,100 patients and staff members, along with their immediate families are placed on a direct transport to Auschwitz and murdered. On 22 January and 1 February, another 265 people are taken to Westerbork. In the end, only 21 employees survive the war.
